ABSTRACT
Moringa oleifera and Spirulina platensis are well known for their nutritional and medicinal properties. Moringa, often referred to as the "drumstick tree," is prized for having a high vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant content. Spirulina, a type of blue-green algae, is well-known for having plenty of protein and numerous essential amino acids. Current studies examine how integrating these two superfoods can improve their synergistic effects and overall health benefits. Numerous bioactive substances, including glucosinolates, phenolic acids, flavonoids, and vitamins A, C, and E, are found in Moringa oleifera. The main components of Spirulina platensis are protein, phycocyanin, essential fatty acids, and a variety of vitamins and minerals, such as iron and B12. Spirulina platensis and Moringa oleifera are extracted using solvent extraction, cold pressing, and spray drying techniques. Both the phytoconstituents of the Moringa and Spirulina extracts are identified and quantified using sophisticated analytical techniques like HPLC, GC-MS, TLC, and so on. These methods provide insight into the combined extracts' chemical composition and potential health benefits. The synergistic effects of Moringa oleifera and Spirulina platensis are promising, enhancing antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory responses, and overall nutritional value; studies have suggested that the combined intake of these superfoods can lead to improved metabolic functions, enhanced defense mechanisms, and greater control of chronic conditions. Several commercial products, such as dietary supplements, energy bars, and powders, are promoted for their supposed health benefits, such as boosted energy levels, better digestion, and overall wellness.
